East Coast Park Ride

You ride the park's cycling and skating track along Singapore's south-east coast, past beaches, the Cyclist Park in Area D and the 250 m Bedok Jetty in Area F. It is flat all the way, and at the eastern end the Coastal Park Connector carries on for 15 km to Changi Beach Park.

The route

East Coast Park cycling track, end to end along the coast.

Walk in through the underpasses below the East Coast Parkway from nearby estates, or take the Thomson-East Coast MRT Line to Marine Parade or Bayshore station. Bike rental shops operate inside the park.

When to go

The park is open 24 hours, all year.

Before you go

  • Hire a bike at one of the shops in the park if you do not bring your own.
  • Join the Bedok Park Connector or the Coastal Park Connector for a longer ride.
  • Check NParks notices before you go: in 2026 footpaths near car park C4 are closed for maintenance until 21 November and near C1 until 31 October.

What to bring

  • Helmet
  • Spare tube, tyre levers and a pump
  • Water and snacks
  • Front and rear lights
  • A layer for descents and stops

Getting ready for it

Time in the saddle matters more than speed.

If you have not ridden for a while, do two or three rides of an hour or two first so your legs and your seat are used to it.

Staying safe

  • It is Singapore's busiest park, with about 7.5 million visits a year, so slow down near walkers and skaters.
  • Wear bright clothing and use lights wherever there is traffic.
  • Check your brakes and tyres before you leave.

Route details checked September 30, 2026 against nparks.gov.sg and en.wikipedia.org. Rules and closures change, so check before you go.
